I am searching for some answers here.
For the last 5 years I have had an increasingly poor crop from my tomato plants and zucchini Plants that I have purchased to grow at home. Tomato plants grow green stringy tall plants with few blossoms and very little fruit for the entire growing season and Zucchini plants grow blossoms that die or if it fruits they rot half way through the growing time. My tomatoes always in the past were very hardy and plentiful in fruiting. I usually purchase well established tomato plants as my growing season is short and over the last 4 yrs have purchased them at Home Depoe ,local nurseries and locally where ever plants are being sold on sale.
In my reading on GMO and on a Nat Geo. special I learned that these plants were modified to produce less blossom and less fruit. I made the leap that the plants I have been buying are modified seed and therefore plants are not producing fruit like they did in the past for the home grower. There is no other explanation for the sudden lack of fruit production of my plants.
I live in the Portland,Or. area and I am looking for NON GMO seed tomato Plants and zucchini plants. Can anyone be of assistance?
